Abstract: A stability improved biological drug formulation is disclosed comprising a biological active, buffer, carbohydrate or polyol stabilizer, amino acid stabilizer, non ionic surfactant, oxidation control component, and aqueous or lyophilized carrier. The formulation provides a coordinated stabilizing microenvironment that reduces aggregation, oxidation, pH drift, adsorption, particulate formation, and potency loss during manufacture, storage, reconstitution, transport, and administration. The composition is suitable for vials, cartridges, prefilled syringes, dual chamber containers, and infusion compatible systems for delivery of proteins, antibodies, peptides, vaccines, enzymes, or nucleic acid based biological therapeutics.
