Abstract: The present invention relates to a speech-based system and method for non-invasive detection of lung diseases. Natural, continuous sentence-level speech is recorded using a standard microphone or mobile device and processed to extract physiologically interpretable acoustic features reflecting respiratory airflow, subglottal pressure stability, and phonatory irregularities. The extracted features are analyzed using a supervised machine learning classifier to determine respiratory health status. The invention provides a low-cost, scalable, and non-invasive solution suitable for clinical screening, telemedicine, and remote respiratory monitoring.
