MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611110311 A) filed by Chandigarh University on September 14, 2026, for A Solar-Powered Satellite Dish Assembly System.
Inventors include Raghav Mehra; and Khushi.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention provides a solar-powered satellite dish assembly having an integrated multi-sensor security and tamper-detection system for monitoring and protecting rooftop 5 satellite communication equipment. The assembly comprises a parabolic reflector, Low Noise Block (LNB), solar panel, rechargeable battery, control and processing unit, vibration sensor, gyroscope and/or Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU), Passive Infrared (PIR) motion sensor, wireless communication module, and optionally a camera module. The vibration sensor detects physical disturbances, the IMU monitors dish orientation and misalignment, 10 and the PIR sensor detects movement or human presence. The control unit processes and correlates sensor outputs to identify tampering, unauthorized access, theft attempts, physical disturbances, and dish displacement. Upon detection of a predetermined event, the system may activate the camera and/or alarm and transmit a wireless notification to a remote user. The integrated solar power subsystem enables substantially autonomous operation of the 15 security system.
