MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641064348 A) filed by Manipal Academy Of Higher Education on May 21, 2026, for A Solar Photovoltaic Power Tracking Control System And Method Of Operation Thereof.

Inventor includes Atreyee Dey.

The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.

Abstract: A method of operating a solar photovoltaic power tracking control system (100) for a solar electric vehicle comprises acquiring, by a processor (201) using a Synthetic Irradiance Field Generation Module (301), a two-dimensional irradiance map representing uneven sunlight across a solar panel, extracting, by an image-based spatial feature extraction and SSI module (303), a plurality of spatial descriptors from the irradiance map, identifying a composite shading severity value by weighted fusion of the spatial descriptors, generating, by a PV electrical signal synthesis module (305), a time-varying electrical power signal by identifying a current-limiting cell in each cell string, detecting, by a Time-frequency signal analysis and energy quantification module (307), an energy within a defined frequency range of the electrical power signal relative to a baseline value, and controlling, by a Power electronics & MPPT subsystem (309), a power tracking mode of the solar panel based on the detected energy.
