Abstract: ABSTRACT The present disclosure relates to a solar photovoltaic panel assembly (100) and a method (200) of manufacturing thereof. The assembly (100) comprises, in sequence from an operative front side to an operative rear side: a first transparent polymer layer (10), a first encapsulant layer (20), a photovoltaic cell array layer (30), a second encapsulant layer (40), and a rear layer (50). The first transparent polymer layer (10) is configured to receive and transmit incident solar radiation therethrough. The photovoltaic cell array layer (30) is configured to convert incident solar radiation into electrical energy. The rear layer (50) comprises one of a backsheet or a second transparent polymer layer configured to receive incident solar radiation at the operative rear side and transmit the incident solar radiation toward said photovoltaic cell array layer (30). The layers (10, 20, 30, 40, 50) are laminated together forming the solar photovoltaic panel assembly (100).
