Abstract: The present disclosure relates to an automated robotic solar panel cleaning system and, more particularly, to a Tensioned wire-rope-guided cleaning mechanism for cleaning photovoltaic solar panel arrays. The system comprises X-direction guide tracks (B1, B2), The primary technical advancement is the utilization of stationary tensioned wire ropes (W1, W2) as resilient Y-direction guide tracks rather than conventional rigid rails. This flexible architecture permits the elastic vertical displacement of the completely wheel-less cleaning robot unit (D), allowing the unit's total weight to maintain substantially uniform brushing pressure to a silicone brush (EB) across uneven panel surfaces without inflicting scratches. The invention provides technical advancement by reducing structural complexity, installation cost, component weight, and maintenance. The invention is principally useful for autonomous cleaning of rooftop, domestic, commercial, industrial, and utility-scale photovoltaic installations to improve energy generation efficiency with reduced water consumption and manual intervention.
