The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: A solar-based green technology for essential oil extraction apparatus for rapid and high-purity recovery is disclosed. The apparatus comprises a heat source, a support stand, a distillation flask holding a charge of plant material and water, a plant material chamber, a solar-powered stirrer, a temperature indicator, a vapour outlet tube, a water-jacketed condenser with cooling water inlet and outlet, a receiving vessel for an oil-water mixture, and an essential oil outlet. The solar-powered stirrer, driven by a solar panel and a DC motor, continuously agitates the charge to improve uniform heating and mass transfer. The water-jacketed condenser rapidly converts the vapour into condensate, which separates into an essential oil layer and an aqueous layer owing to density difference and immiscibility. The apparatus is constructed primarily of borosilicate glass, providing thermal resistance and chemical inertness, and reduces reliance on grid electricity and fossil fuel. The apparatus completes extraction in approximately four to five hours, yielding high-purity essential oil in a simple, compact, and cost-effective construction suitable for laboratory and small-scale use
