Abstract: [052] The present invention relates to a smart metallurgical process monitoring and control system using distributed sensor nodes and adaptive edge control units. The system comprises sensor nodes positioned across metallurgical process zones, at least one adaptive edge control unit, a sensor health validation module, a metallurgical state evaluation module, an actuator control module and a supervisory computing unit. The sensor nodes acquire real-time metallurgical process data including temperature, pressure, vibration, gas concentration, cooling rate, equipment load and energy consumption. The sensor health validation module verifies reliability of sensor readings and isolates faulty sensor data. The metallurgical state evaluation module generates a metallurgical condition profile including heat stability, cooling deviation, melt uniformity and equipment stress indicators. The actuator control module controls metallurgical actuators based on validated process data and predicted process deviation. The invention improves metallurgical process stability, product quality, energy efficiency, traceability and equipment safety. Accompanied Drawing [FIGS. 1-2]
