Abstract: A smart fuelling system (100) prevents incorrect fuel dispensing into a vehicle by detecting and validating fuel type before fuelling begins. A sensor module (102), embedded near the fuel tank opening, identifies type of dispenser fuel using physical or chemical characteristics. When a fuel nozzle is inserted, the detected fuel type is compared with predefined type of vehicle fuel by a processing unit (104). A control system (106) sends a signal to a display unit (108) and an audio unit (110) to activate a visual alert and an audible alert indicating the detection of a mismatch of the type of fuel. A valve control unit (112) to close the entrance of the fuel tank when a mismatch of the detected type of the dispenser fuel and the type of vehicle fuel.
