Abstract: The present invention relates to an intelligent safety system and method for monitoring the operational condition of a fuel-operated cooking appliance and automatically initiating predetermined safety actions upon detection of hazardous operating conditions. The invention comprises a combustion detection module configured to determine burner combustion status, a utensil detection module configured to determine the presence or absence of cookware, a signal conditioning module, a processing unit, a timing and decision module, an alarm module, a communication module, and a fuel isolation mechanism. During operation, the processing unit continuously acquires information from the combustion detection module and the utensil detection module to determine whether combustion is present while cookware is absent. Upon identification of such a condition, the processing unit initiates a verification interval to distinguish temporary operational changes from unattended burner operation. When the hazardous condition persists beyond a predetermined threshold, the processing unit automatically activates one or more safety actions including generation of warning indications, interruption or regulation of fuel supply, and transmission of remote notifications. The system continuously repeats the monitoring process during appliance operation. The invention provides a modular, scalable, and technology-independent safety platform capable of reducing fuel wastage, minimizing fire hazards, improving operational reliability, and supporting integration with domestic, commercial, and industrial cooking appliances without being limited to any particular sensing technology or processing platform.
