MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621062508 A) filed by Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune on May 15, 2026, for A Smart Contrast Injector System.
Inventor includes Malik, Maajid Mohi Ud Din.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT A SMART CONTRAST INJECTOR SYSTEM A smart contrast injector system (10) for diagnostic imaging procedures is disclosed. The system (10) comprises a dual-head power injector assembly (12) for programmed delivery of contrast media and saline, a wrist-worn sensor unit (14) configured to acquire physiological impedance signals, and an embedded control module (16) operatively coupled thereto for generating patient-responsive injector operating parameters. An injection line pressure monitoring array (18) supplies pressure feedback to the embedded control module (16) for modifying or interrupting injector actuation upon abnormal pressure-flow conditions. A scan trigger interface (20) transmits a scan initiation signal to associated imaging equipment upon attainment of a predetermined delivery condition. A touchscreen operator console (22) displays physiological, injection, and pressure status information. The disclosed system provides automated, synchronized, and safety-enhanced contrast administration during radiological imaging procedures.
