Abstract: The present invention relates to a smart consumer perception and behavior assessment system configured to assess consumer perceptions and consumption behavior associated with sustainable products and services. The system comprises a consumer data acquisition module, consumer perception processing module, sustainability attribute processing module, perception–behavior analysis engine, consumer sustainability profile generator, sustainability behavior scoring module, recommendation and intervention module, and feedback and adaptive learning module. The system analyzes environmental awareness, sustainability perception, social responsibility, price sensitivity, convenience, purchase intention, and consumption behavior to identify relationships between consumer perception and behavior. A perception– behavior gap is determined when sustainability perception or intention differs from corresponding consumption behavior. An individualized sustainability behavior profile and sustainability behavior score are generated, after which personalized sustainability recommendations or behavioral interventions are provided. Subsequent consumer responses are captured and used to adaptively update the consumer profile and recommendation parameters. The invention provides a closed-loop mechanism for assessing consumer sustainability behavior and supporting personalized interventions for promoting sustainable consumption.
