The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: The present invention relates lo a self-locking smart helmet with motion-based strap locking and impact-triggered air cushioning designed to enhance safety tor two- wheeler riders. The helmet comprises an outer protective shell (1) that forms the structural body of the helmet and distributes impact forces during collisions. A micro air cushion padding layer (2) is arranged along the inner surface of the shell to provide improved shock absorption and rider comfort. A gyroscope motion sensor module (3) is integrated within the helmet to detect motion, orientation, and acceleration during vehicle movement. When the detected motion exceeds a predetermined threshold, the sensor activates a mechanical ratchet strap lock system (8) housed within a smart chin guard or lock housing unit (6), thereby automatically tightening and securing the helmet strap to ensure proper fastening while riding. The helmet further includes a micro C02 cartridge (4) configured to release compressed gas upon impact detection, which inflates protective cushioning elements including an inflatable neck support ring (7) to provide additional stabilization to the rider's neck and reduce the risk of injury during accidents. A visor frame assembly (5) is provided at the front portion of the helmet to support a protective visor for shielding the rider's face from environmental elements while maintaining clear visibility. The integration of motion sensing, automatic strap locking, and inflatable cushioning components provides an advanced helmet system capable of automatically securing itself during operation and delivering enhanced impact protection for the rider .
