MUMBAI, India, Sept. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617028052 A) filed by Itc Limited on March 10, 2026, for A Smart Aerosol Generating Device.
Inventors include Madasamy, Subburaj; and Kurnool, Jayakumar.
The application for the patent was published on September 25, 2026, under issue no. 39/2026.
Abstract: An aerosol generating device (100) is disclosed, comprising a communication unit (101) and a control unit (101A) operatively coupled thereto. The communication unit (101) is configured to autonomously establish a direct wireless connection with a gateway (103), receive operational data from a server (104) via the gateway (103) for each activation, and transmit monitored data to the server (104) each post-activation. The control unit (101A) dynamically controls device operation based on the received operational data, continuously monitors the device's functional status, and collects and transmits the monitored data. The device (100) is maintained in real- time synchronization with the server (104) through the gateway (103), enabling robust, bi-directional data exchange for precise operational control and monitoring. This architecture facilitates advanced remote management, data-driven optimization, and regulatory compliance, while supporting seamless integration into connected environments and ensuring high reliability and security throughout the device lifecycle.
