Abstract: ABSTRACT [0019] The proposed invention provides AI based accident detection and alert system with the use of deep learning and computer vision techniques for identifying road accidents from visual inputs. Main objective of proposed YOLO8 object detection model is to train on annotated image datasets to distinguish accident scenes from normal traffic conditions. A graphical user interface allows users to upload image or video files and receive immediate detection results. Upon positive detection the system automatically captures the timestamp together with geographic coordinates and forwards an alert to a hospital dashboard, enabling registered medical centers to receive advance notification. The combination of accurate visual recognition, user-friendly media handling, and automated emergency messaging reduces response latency, supports coordinated rescue efforts, and contributes to improved road safety through intelligent surveillance and rapid intervention.
