Abstract: A small-scale jet engine prototype designated as "NABH" utilizes a lightweight modular architecture and a clean-burning butane fuel source to provide a high- efficiency, cost-effective propulsion solution for unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), drones, and remote-controlled (RC) aircraft. The engine assembly comprises a streamlined outer casing manufactured from a lightweight PET-G composite material lined internally with a heat-resistant phenolic layer to safeguard the structure from high operating temperatures. A balanced central rotor assembly integrates a low-obstruction intake propeller fan, a single-stage geometric compressor runner, and a high-alloy turbine wheel fixedly joined by a shared central drive shaft. An onboard battery pack powers an initial starter motor to spin the compressor, which delivers compressed air into a centralized combustion chamber where it mixes with metered butane gas. Upon ignition, the butane fuel burns with a highly stable flame to produce high-pressure exhaust gases, which expand through the turbine wheel to self-sustain the compressor loop before discharging through a converging exhaust nozzle. The system incorporates passive cooling channels to prevent overheating and utilizes a fully modular layout that allows researchers and engineers to easily disassemble the core segments or attach additional turbine stages and sensors, providing a practical model for experimental aerospace research and autonomous drone development.
