Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a slide scanning apparatus, a method, and a system of imaging based on using switchable lenses. In particular, the slide scanning apparatus comprises a stage, preferably XY stage, a digital optical module; a tube lens module; data processing unit; and a display unit. The method is a fully automated solution based on a novel combination of aspherical lenses for a high-quality microscopic view of pathology glass slides. The system comprises on-board AI image classification segmentation. The slide scanning apparatus offers multiple levels of magnifications (10 x to up to 100x). The invention has a hugely impact on rural on- site screening.
