Abstract: The present invention relates to a single use, contamination free petroleum jelly (Vaseline) dispensing system intended primarily for dental applications. The invention comprises a pre filled, sterile, soft gel capsule containing a predetermined quantity of petroleum jelly sufficient for use in a single patient. The capsule is designed in a shape similar to a Vitamin E soft-gel capsule and incorporates a manually breakable tip or opening region that allows easy dispensing of the contents without the need for additional instruments. The breakable tip is configured to be opened by hand immediately before use, thereby minimizing the risk of cross contamination associated with conventional multi-use containers. The single dose design ensures accurate quantity delivery, enhances infection control practices, reduces material wastage, and improves convenience for dental practitioners during restorative procedures. The invention is particularly useful for applying petroleum jelly on tooth surfaces, restoration margins, lips, or adjacent soft tissues during and after dental treatment procedures. This novel dispensing system provides a hygienic, economical, and user friendly alternative to conventional bulk petroleum jelly containers used in clinical practice.
