MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611030095 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi on March 13, 2026, for A Single-Phase Three-Level Four Switch Based Ac-Dc Converter.

Inventors include Harishwar Prasad; and Naveen Yalla.

The application for the patent was published on July 10, 2026, under issue no. 28/2026.

Abstract: The present invention provides a single-phase three-level four switch based AC-DC converter (100) comprises an AC voltage supply unit (1) to supply AC voltage as an input current to diode bridge rectifier (2) is coupled with boost inductor (18) to continuously boost and balance an input voltage from said AC voltage supply unit (1) to fed into T-type three-level converter (3) configured to provide half of the total DC link voltage to said power switches (S1) (8) and (S2) (9) to form a high DC link voltage. The DC link voltage is fed into said LLC resonant tank (4) configured for filtering out harmonics for fed into said high frequency transformer (5) facilitate effective galvanic isolation to fed into said diode rectifier (6) to smooth the DC output in order to produce ripple free regulated DC output voltage single stage power conversion to ensure zero voltage switching (ZVS).
