Abstract: A SINGLE-PHASE, SINGLE-STAGE ISOLATED AC-DC POWER CONVERSION SYSTEM, AND A METHOD OF CONTROL THEREOF ABSTRACT The present disclosure describes a power conversion system comprising an input filter (Lg) coupled to an alternating-current source (102), an unfolding converter (104) coupled to the input filter (Lg), a dual-active-bridge converter coupled to the unfolding converter (104) through an intermediate capacitor (Cf) and a controller configured to: generate a current reference based on at least one of: an active-power command and a reactive-power command; obtain feedback signal indicative of voltage across the intermediate capacitor (Cf); extract, from the feedback signal, resonant component associated with a resonance defined by an inductance of the input filter (Lg) and a capacitance of the intermediate capacitor (Cf); generate damping component based on the resonant component; modify, using the damping component, the current reference for controlling power transfer through the dual-active-bridge converter; and control the dual-active-bridge converter according to the modified current reference to actively damp oscillation associated with switching of the unfolding converter.
