Abstract: The present invention discloses a shaft assembly (200). The shaft assembly (200) comprises a shaft (206) and spacers (210) mounted on the shaft (206) along an axial direction. Each spacer has a slope on one side. The shaft assembly (200) further comprises a ring (212) positioned between the plurality of spacers (210) at the side having the slope. The ring (212) is equipped with at least one slot. Furthermore, the shaft assembly (200) comprises at least one grub screw (214) configured to engage with the at least one slot of the at least one ring (212). The at least one grub screw (214) is conical in shape at bottom end in contact with the slope of the plurality of spacers (210), such that clockwise rotation of the at least one grub screw (214) results in pushing the plurality of spacers (210) away from each other.
