The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: According to the present invention, a sensor assembly (100) for measuring a temperature of a high temperature medium is disclosed. The sensor assembly (100) comprises a waveguide (110) comprising a top section (112) attached to a sensor head (200), a middle section (114) and a bottom section (116) and at least one sheath structure (120) and a gas purging unit (130) attached to the at least one sheath structure (120) and inert gas is filled in a gap (140) between the waveguide and an inner wall (122) of the sheath structure (120) by the gas purging unit (130). The bottom section (116) of the waveguide is configured to be immersed in a high temperature medium (1200), an ultrasonic transducer in the sensor head (200) is configured to send or transmit ultrasonic pulses to the high temperature medium and receive reflected ultrasonic pulses from the medium for measuring the temperature.
