MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641099160 A) filed by B. M. S College Of Engineering on August 17, 2026, for A Self-Healing Systolic Array System For Reliable Artificial Intelligence (ai) Accelerators.
Inventors include Dr. Jisha P; Mohan Gowda H; and Dr. Suma M S.
The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Disclosed herein is a self-healing systolic array system (100) using functional BIST and dynamic processing element isolation for reliable AI accelerators, comprising a host interface (102). The system (100) comprising a processing assembly (104) also comprising a stream generator (106) and a systolic array (108) further comprising a plurality of processing elements (110). The stream generator (106) stream activation data along row directions and weight data along column directions of the systolic array (108) such that each of the processing element (110) receives corresponding input data. The processing assembly (104) comprising a runtime test module (112), a signature generation module (114), a signature comparison module (116), and a fault diagnosis module (118). The processing assembly (104) comprising an adaptive bypass controller module (120) to isolate and activate a bypass path associated with the identified processing element (110) to forward data past it, for continuous operation of the systolic array (108).
