Abstract: The present invention relates to a self-cleaning retractable toothpick device intended for improved oral hygiene and user convenience. The device comprises a compact, pen-like housing containing a sliding toothpick that can be extended for use and retracted after cleaning. During retraction, the toothpick passes through an internal wiping arrangement that mechanically removes adhered food debris from its surface. The removed debris is collected and retained within an internal chamber, thereby preventing re-contamination and maintaining hygiene without the need for water, tissues, or external cleaning tools. A manually operable mechanism enables controlled movement of the toothpick, while a removable closure allows periodic disposal of accumulated debris. The invention provides a reusable, purely mechanical solution that improves cleanliness, portability, and discreet use, making it particularly suitable for daily, travel, and public environments.
