Abstract: A self-calibrating multi-level sensor network is disclosed for hotspot localization and spoilage monitoring in grain storage systems. A plurality of sensor poles are installed at spaced-apart locations within a grain storage structure, each sensor pole carrying temperature, humidity, and gas sensor units positioned at a plurality of heights. A self-calibration module associated with each sensor pole periodically compares sensor readings against a reference sensor unit and against readings from neighbouring sensor poles, and applies a correction offset to compensate for sensor drift. Calibrated readings are transmitted through a wireless communication module to a gateway node, which aggregates data from the plurality of sensor poles and forwards it to a central or cloud server. A hotspot localization module estimates the three-dimensional position of a developing thermal or moisture anomaly from the aggregated multi-level readings, and a spoilage monitoring module computes a spoilage index from the sensed parameters to assign a spoilage-risk classification. The estimated hotspot location and spoilage status are presented through a dashboard application, and an alert or notification module issues a warning when a configured threshold is exceeded. The arrangement provides an integrated network combining automatic sensor calibration, three-dimensional hotspot localization, and multi-parameter spoilage assessment for grain storage systems.
