Abstract: The present innovation discloses a self-adaptive precision manufacturing system that integrates sensor-guided workpiece localization, an actively controlled smart fixture, real-time process sensing, and closed-loop toolpath compensation to improve dimensional accuracy and process consistency under changing manufacturing conditions. During component setup, a localization module determines the actual position and orientation of the workpiece relative to the machine coordinate system using one or more optical, laser, touch-probe, displacement, or proximity sensors. An adaptive fixture then regulates a plurality of independently controllable clamping elements so that the workpiece is secured with sufficient holding force while limiting deformation. During machining, process variables including cutting force, spindle load, vibration, acoustic emission, temperature, tool condition, and axis-position data are monitored. An adaptive control unit compares measured conditions with a nominal process model and automatically modifies one or more machining parameters including toolpath offset, feed rate, spindle speed, depth of cut, coolant delivery, and clamping force. In-process or post-process metrology verifies critical features and provides feedback for subsequent compensation.
