Abstract: A SEED MICROBIOME ENGINEERING KIT The present invention relates to a Seed Microbiome Engineering Kit for enhancing seedling establishment, rhizosphere health, and protection against soilborne pathogens. The kit comprises a crop-specific microbial consortium, a prebiotic composition, a polymeric coating binder, and instructions for preparing a seed-coating slurry. Beneficial microorganisms such as Trichoderma harzianum, Bacillus subtilis, and Pseudomonas fluorescens are combined with prebiotics including chitosan, inulin, and oligosaccharides to promote early microbial activation and root colonization. The polymeric coating matrix protects microbial viability during storage and application. Upon sowing, moisture activates the prebiotic-supported microorganisms, enabling rapid establishment in the rhizosphere and suppression of pathogens through competition, antibiosis, and induced systemic resistance. The invention improves germination, root development, and plant vigor while reducing reliance on chemical seed treatments, thereby providing an environmentally sustainable and crop-adaptable microbiome engineering solution.
