The application for the patent was published on August 28, 2026, under issue no. 35/2026.

Abstract: The present invention discloses The Guardian Link, a wireless helmet–vehicle safety interlock system designed to enforce helmet usage and enhance two-wheeler rider safety. The system comprises a helmet unit and a vehicle control unit communicating through a low-latency wireless protocol. The helmet unit employs multi-sensor fusion, including gesture detection, temperature sensing, capacitive touch sensing, and strap verification, to determine whether the helmet is properly worn. Upon successful authentication, a signal is transmitted to the vehicle unit, which enables ignition only when valid helmet usage is confirmed. The vehicle unit further incorporates an inertial measurement system to monitor motion and detect crash events based on acceleration thresholds. Upon detecting a crash, the system disables ignition and activates safety alerts. A false-fall detection mechanism distinguishes non-critical tilt conditions from actual impact events to reduce false triggers. In an additional embodiment, the system includes speed-dependent helmet enforcement, wherein helmet authentication is required only above a predefined vehicle speed threshold, improving usability during low-speed operation. The invention provides a distributed embedded architecture that integrates helmet authentication, ignition control, and crash detection into a unified safety system.
