MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611109887 A) filed by Iimt College Of Management on September 13, 2026, for A Secure And Programmable Central Bank Digital Currency (cbdc) System With Adaptive Transaction Control.
Inventors include Dr. Akash Srivastava; Ms. Priyanka; and Mr. Jaspal Singh.
The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a decentralized finance (DeFi) risk management system and method utilizing artificial intelligence and blockchain technology for real- time detection, assessment, prediction, and mitigation of risks in blockchain-based financial ecosystems. The system comprises a blockchain data acquisition module configured to acquire transaction and financial state information from one or more blockchain networks, an external data acquisition module configured to obtain financial information through one or more blockchain oracles, and a data processing module configured to generate risk features from the acquired information. An artificial intelligence-based risk analysis engine processes the risk features using one or more machine learning models to identify anomalous transaction patterns and generate risk indicators. A dynamic risk scoring module determines a risk score for transactions, user accounts, digital assets, lending positions, liquidity pools, smart contracts, or DeFi protocols. A predictive risk analysis module further evaluates historical and real-time information to identify potential future adverse conditions. Based on the determined and predicted risk conditions, a risk decision module dynamically determines risk-control parameters and mitigation actions. A smart contract execution module automatically implements the determined actions, including transaction restriction, collateral adjustment, borrowing-limit modification, enhanced monitoring, or liquidation. A decentralized governance module may further permit modification of selected risk parameters through blockchain-based voting. Risk assessments and corresponding mitigation actions may be recorded through a blockchain-based audit trail, thereby providing an adaptive, automated, transparent, and decentralized framework for managing financial, transactional, liquidity, market, and operational risks in DeFi ecosystems.
