Abstract: ABSTRACT A SECURE AND MODULAR OVER-THE-AIR (OTA) UPDATE SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR AUTONOMOUS VEHICLES The present invention relates to a secure and modular over-the-air (OTA) update system and method for autonomous vehicles with delta updates, version control, and rollback mechanism. The system comprises secure update management server (1) is deployed in a cloud or edge computing environment which is in communication with database (3). The delta update engine (6, 7) is integrated within the vehicle’s ECU (electronic control unit) or middleware layer. Modular update framework organizes software into different modules that can be updated independently. Secure authentication and encryption layer (4) is applied to every stage of the update process. Fail-safe dual- partition update system (2) ensures safe deployment by validating updates before activation. Giti Hub (4) notifies server (1), uploads new code to Gitihub repository as new version for developer (5).
