Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a screw compressor (100). The screw compressor (100) comprises a rotor casing (102), a plurality of bearings (114a, 114b, 114c, 114d, 116a, 116b), a plurality of chambers (118) defined in at least one portion (110, 112) of the screw compressor (100), and a lubrication unit (120). The rotor casing (102) includes a plurality of rotors (104, 106) supported by the (114a, 114b, 114c, 114d, 116a, 116b). The lubrication unit (120) is fluidly connected to the rotor casing (102) and the at least one portion (110, 112) of the screw compressor (100). The lubrication unit (120) is configured to lubricate and seal the plurality of bearings (114a, 114b, 114c, 114d, 116a, 116b). The lubrication unit (120) generates an axial force within the plurality of chambers (118) to counteract an axial thrust force exerted by the plurality of rotors (104, 106).
