Abstract: Described herein is a safety shutter arrangement [200] of an Air Circuit Breaker (ACB) [100]. The ACB [100] comprises a fixed cradle unit [114] that comprises a chassis [128] defining L-shaped slots [128a]. The safety shutter arrangement [200] comprises a shutter plunger [206] resiliently and slidably installed against the chassis [128] of the fixed cradle unit [114], along a horizontal axis. Further, the safety shutter arrangement [200] comprises a shutter front cover [208] that defines a central plate portion [208a], and a pair of L-shaped locking protrusions [208c] extending from opposite ends of the central plate portion [208a], such that the locking protrusions [208c] extends through the L-shaped slots [128a] of the chassis [128] of the fixed cradle unit [114], wherein the central plate portion [208a] restricts the sliding movement of the shutter plunger [206] beyond a limit.
