The saddle type vehicle (100) comprises a head pipe (102), a main frame (104) extending rearwardly from the head pipe (102), one or more down tubes (106) extending rearwardly and downwardly from the head pipe (102), a first frame member (110) extending downwardly from the main frame (104), and an exhaust member (108). A footrest member (118) is attached to the first frame member (110). A first component (130) is provided in the exhaust member (108) and behind the footrest member (118) in a vehicle front-rear direction. A support bracket (140) is attached to the first frame member (110). A connecting member (114) is configured for electrically connecting the first component (130) to one or more vehicle components.
