Abstract: The present invention relates to a runtime medical event state enforcement system (100) using causality-constrained clinical event structures. The system (100) comprises a data ingestion and normalization module configured to receive heterogeneous healthcare records from multiple healthcare data sources and generate a unified clinical data representation. An event state construction module generates state-defined medical event objects according to predefined lifecycle definitions and record association rules. A causality enforcement engine validates relationships among the medical event objects by enforcing temporal precedence rules and clinically defined dependency constraints associated with medical event state transitions. An event structure generation module generates clinical event structures upon successful validation of the medical event state transitions. The causality enforcement engine permits, rejects, or blocks event state transitions based on compliance with predefined temporal and dependency constraints prior to generation of the clinical event structures.
