Inventors include Dr. Vyavahare Pranav Prasad; Dr. Nistane Saurabh Vilas; Dr. Bhand Akshata Chandrakant; Dr. Vibhu Maurya; and Dr. Bhole Piyush Dilip.
The application for the patent was published on October 02, 2026, under issue no. 40/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to an encapsulated nutraceutical composition for dairy ruminants comprising a standardized herbal phytochemical fraction and a nano-mineral fraction incorporated within a controlled-release delivery architecture. The phytochemical fraction is standardized with respect to one or more chemical markers, while the nano-mineral fraction comprises at least one nano-particulate mineral. The active constituents are incorporated within a carrier matrix surrounded by a protective encapsulation system comprising at least one rumen-resistant region and, in certain embodiments, a downstream release region. The encapsulation system reduces uncontrolled exposure and release during ruminal residence and facilitates controlled availability following passage into downstream gastrointestinal conditions. The invention further provides processes for preparing, standardizing, dispersing, encapsulating, drying and classifying the composition and for incorporating the resulting particles into dairy-animal feed. The composition provides a controlled delivery platform for standardized botanical phytochemicals and nano-minerals in ruminant nutrition. Fig. 1
