Abstract: ABSTRACT Title: “A ROTARY ATOMIZER BASED HUMIDIFIER FOR A DESALINATION SYSTEM” The present disclosure relates to a rotary atomizer based humidifier (10) for a desalination system (100). The humidifier (10) includes a casing (11) having a top 5 end (11a), a bottom end (11b), an exhaust (12), and a plurality of airways (111). A rotary atomizer (14), disposed proximal to the bottom end (11b), includes an inlet port (14a) and a plurality of outlet ports (14b) and is configured to rotate in a first direction (FD) to dispense atomized saline water. A liquid supply unit (15) is fluidly coupled to the inlet port (14a) to supply saline water to the rotary atomizer (14), and 10 an air supply unit (16) fluidly connected to the plurality of airways (111) supplies hot air tangentially in a second direction (SD) opposite to the first direction (FD). The humidifier (10) enhances humidification efficiency and reduces energy consumption of the desalination system (100). 15 Figure 1 is a representative figure
