MUMBAI, India, Sept. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611089499 A) filed by Chitkara University on July 22, 2026, for A Robotic Sterile Compounding System With Tamper-Evident Batch-Record Engine.
Inventors include Dr. Sonia Dhiman; Dr. Shareen Singh; and Dr. Thakur Gurjeet Singh.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to a robotic sterile compounding system (10) comprising a robotic compounding station (100), an ISO-5 enclosure (200), a robotic arm (300), a sterile fluid path (400), a barcode or RFID reader (500), a camera (600), a gravimetric balance (700), a batch-record engine (1000), and a release interlock module (1200). An evidence synchronisation controller (1500) assigns a manipulation-event identifier to ingredient verification, robotic transfer, image capture, weight measurement, and environmental data. A secure cryptographic module (1600) chain-hashes and digitally signs corresponding evidence packets to produce a tamper- evident batch record. The release interlock module (1200) retains an electromechanical release lock (2200) unless mandatory evidence is complete, deviations are resolved, and a pharmacist release token is authenticated. Deviating preparations are directed to a quarantine receptacle (2100). The system provides traceable compounding, hardware-enforced release control, and verifiable batch integrity while reducing errors and preventing release of incompletely validated sterile preparations.
