Abstract: The present disclosure discloses a retrofittable metal printing system (100) for a laser marking machine (102). The retrofittable metal printing system (102) may include a movable build platform (202) defining a build surface with a dual compartment comprising a powder bed (204) and a print bed (206). A powder delivery mechanism may be provided to dispense metal powder toward the powder bed (204) to form a primary metal powder layer. A re-coater mechanism may be operatively coupled to the powder delivery mechanism. The re-coater mechanism may be adapted to dispense the metal powder to form a substantially uniform layer over the primary metal powder layer to form a secondary metal powder layer. A control unit may be operatively coupled to the powder delivery mechanism and the re-coater mechanism. The control unit may be configured to operate the laser marking machine (102) to tactile Braille dots on the metallic substrate.
