Abstract: ABSTRACT “A RESCUE HARNESS FOR CONFINED SPACE EXTRACTION AND A METHOD THEREOF” The present invention relates to a rescue harness for confined space extraction and a method thereof. The harness comprises a collapsible frame, expandable support members, a deployment mechanism, a locking mechanism, and a lifting attachment. The device is configured to be lowered into a confined space in a compact form and to automatically expand to engage the torso of a person. Upon application of lifting force, the locking mechanism secures the harness, enabling safe vertical extraction without requiring rescuer entry. This mechanism is driven mechanically without the need for any electricity, making it reliable even in harsh environments. The device has been developed to be portable and economical, making it ideal for rescue operations, especially when working in confined vertical spaces like manholes and wells.
