MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621109342 A) filed by Clad Metal India Private Limited on September 11, 2026, for A Refrigeration Suction Assembly With Grooved Aluminium Tube And Mechanically Retained Capillary Tube.

Inventors include Mr. Ashok Kale; and Mr. Ankit Kale.

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A REFRIGERATION SUCTION ASSEMBLY WITH GROOVED ALUMINIUM TUBE AND MECHANICALLY RETAINED CAPILLARY TUBE The present subject matter relates to a refrigeration suction assembly (100) comprising an aluminium suction tube (101) defining an internal refrigerant flow passage (102), and an elongated groove (103) formed longitudinally on an outer surface of the aluminium suction tube. A powder coating (106) is directly deposited over the outer surface and the groove (103), and a copper capillary tube (105) is seated within the groove. A retaining layer (104) extends over the copper capillary tube and at least a portion of the aluminium suction tube to maintain the copper capillary tube within the groove. The elongated groove partially surrounds the copper capillary tube to provide an arcuate thermal transfer interface along a longitudinal heat-transfer section (107). The powder coating layer (106) acts as a protective and electrically insulating layer between the copper capillary and the aluminium tube, thereby preventing anodic corrosion between the dissimilar metals while permitting thermal transfer therebetween. The arrangement maintains the copper capillary tube during bending without requiring a brazed joint along the heat-transfer section. (Referring to Figure 1)
