MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611087853 A) filed by Jignesh Panchal; and Dina Panchal on July 17, 2026, for A Refrigerant Distributor Device And Manufacturing Process For Uniform Multi-Circuit Flow Control.
Inventors include Jignesh Panchal; and Dina Panchal.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The invention relates to refrigerant distribution in vapor-compression systems, particularly a distributor device having a deep-drawn copper distributor body and a precision-machined brass flow-control insert, and to a process for manufacturing the same. Refrigerant from an expansion device first passes through a calibrated inlet passage, metering chamber, and refrigerant acceleration passage of the brass insert, then enters an internal refrigerant chamber of the copper body for substantially uniform distribution to multiple parallel circuits through stepped outlet holes with tube positioning shoulders and brazing support. Compared with conventional fabricated distributors, the disclosed structure improves flow uniformity, dimensional control, copper-to-copper joining, and manufacturing consistency while supporting configurable circuit counts and hole id selection for compressor and tonnage capacity. The device is used downstream of capillary tube, thermostatic expansion valve, or electronic expansion valve systems with refrigerants including R410A, R32, R454B, R290, and CO2.
