The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.

Abstract: ABSTRACT A RECONSTRUCTION SYSTEM FOR HISTORICAL RESERVOIR STORAGE DYNAMICS AND A METHOD THEREOF The present disclosure relates to a reconstruction system (100) and a method (200) for generating historical reservoir storage dynamics. A data interface (102) obtains observed daily live storage data for a monitoring period, model simulated daily live storage data from a baseline hydrological model, and climate predictor data comprising daily precipitation and vapour pressure deficit. An antecedent aggregation module (104) generates aggregated climate predictors by computing moving averages over predefined temporal windows. A model training module (106) trains a tree based ensemble machine learning model with temporal blocking cross validation using model simulated data as a primary predictor, aggregated climate predictors as secondary predictors, and observed data as a target variable. A backward reconstruction module (108) applies the trained model to the pre observation period to reconstruct a temporally continuous daily live storage record from the reservoir’s commissioning year through the monitoring period, enabling robust water resource planning and risk assessment.
