MUMBAI, India, Sept. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641074446 A) filed by Lpg Equipment Research Centre, Bangalore on June 16, 2026, for A Rechargeable Flameless Arc Lighter.
Inventors include T D Sabu; and Agrawal, Nikhil.
The application for the patent was published on September 11, 2026, under issue no. 37/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a rechargeable flameless arc lighter (100). The rechargeable flameless arc lighter (100) comprises a housing having an elongated narrow body with an electroplated heat-resistant top cover, a rechargeable battery (104) electrically coupled to a charging port with integrated constant-current/constant- voltage overcharge protection, and a printed circuit board (PCB) (106) comprising electromagnetic interference/electromagnetic compatibility (EMI/EMC) shielding, thicker copper traces for thermal current management, a metal-oxide-semiconductor field-effect transistor (MOSFET), an adjustable precision shunt regulator, a Schottky diode, and a microcontroller unit (MCU). The rechargeable flameless arc lighter (100) further comprises a high-frequency flyback transformer (108) configured to convert direct current (DC) input into high-voltage alternating current (AC) output, and at least two electroplated electrodes mounted on an alumina ceramic insulation base. The disclosed lighter provides improved thermal durability, operational safety, electromagnetic shielding, and ignition efficiency for gas burner applications.
