Inventors include Dr. N Thendral; Swetha V; Yazhini K; and Dr. Senthil Kumar B.
The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: This invention proposes a real-time health data monitoring system using a Digital Twin integrated with Augmented Vision for ICU emergency patients. The system enables early identification of high-risk cases, allowing patients who require immediate attention to be ,prioritized for_treatment. For faster hospital response, a scannable Augmented Vision code is generated and provided to each patient. Wearable biomedical sensor data are continuously uploaded to a server through Internet of Things connectivity. In the proposed system, every patient is assigned a unique DT-based AV code. Patients admitted with severe conditions such as cardiac or respiratory problems are equipped with wearable sensors and the AV code and are directly admitted to the ICU. During emergencies, senior medical staff can quickly scan the AV code to access real-time patient data, enabling rapid decision-making and timely intervention to save lives.
