Abstract: ABSTRACT The rapid growth of vehicles in cities has increased the demand for smart and efficient parking management systems. Conventional parking methods often result in traffic congestion, longer waiting times, and poor utilization of available parking spaces. To address these challenges, this proposed work presents a real-time IoT-based intelligent vehicle parking and access control system. The system uses an ESP32 microcontroller, ultrasonic sensors, a servo motor, and Wi-Fi connectivity to monitor parking slot availability and automate vehicle entry and exit. When a vehicle arrives, the entrance sensor detects its presence and automatically opens the gate if parking spaces are available. Similarly, the exit sensor updates the parking count when a vehicle leaves, ensuring accurate real-time occupancy information. A web-based interface displays live parking status, sensor readings, and system information, enabling remote monitoring through a local network. The proposed system can be further enhanced by integrating cloud services, mobile applications, license plate recognition, RFID or QR code-based payment systems, and artificial intelligence for parking demand prediction. This intelligent parking solution reduces manual effort, minimizes vehicle waiting time, improves parking space utilization, enhances security, and provides a cost-effective and scalable solution for modern smart parking management.
