Abstract: The present invention relates to a real-time crowd monitoring and accident prevention system comprising a camera (1), a processing unit (2), a YOLO detection module (3), a land visibility module (4), an alert logic unit (5), an IoT cloud platform (6), an ESP32 receiver (7), an OLED display (8), an alert LED (9), and a buzzer (10). The camera (1) captures live video feed, and the processing unit (2) executes the YOLO detection module (3) to detect persons and the land visibility module (4) to compute land visibility using background subtraction. The alert logic unit (5) triggers alerts when occupancy exceeds predefined thresholds of 90% warning and 95% critical. Data is transmitted to the IoT cloud platform (6) and received by the ESP32 receiver (7), which activates the OLED display (8), alert LED (9), and buzzer (10), providing a low-cost, GPU-independent, automated solution for preventing overcrowding-related accidents in public spaces.
