Abstract: The present invention discloses a cardiac biopotential acquisition device configured to establish a rapid, multi-point, low-impedance electrical interface with a patient’s torso. The device comprises an elastomeric body having an inner surface and an opposing outer surface, designed to circumferentially conform to the patient and form a broad, continuous contact region with the skin. The body incorporates a passively anisotropic conductive composite structure exhibiting high conductance through its thickness to create multiple direct pathways for transmitting cardiac potentials, while simultaneously maintaining high resistance across its surface plane to prevent lateral current shunting and preserve spatial separation of signals from different anatomical locations. A plurality of defined electrode-receiving regions on the outer surface enable selective placement and electrical coupling with single-point ECG contact elements. A hydrogel-based interface layer on the inner surface stabilizes skin contact and maintains consistent impedance performance even in the presence of sweat, fluids, or uneven epidermal conditions.
