Abstract: The present invention relates to a railway track monitoring system for detecting multiple types of defects. The system comprises side support poles (1, 5) arranged parallel to a railway track and a belt-driven mechanism including pulleys (3, 4) and an endless belt (6). An integrated sensing, data acquisition, and communication unit (2) is mounted on the belt (6) and configured to move along the track. The unit (2) includes an ultrasonic sensor (7) for detecting internal rail defects, a vibration sensor (8) for monitoring surface irregularities, and a ballast inspection sensor (9) for assessing ballast conditions. A control unit and data acquisition module process sensor signals, while a communication module transmits data wirelessly to a base station (10). The base station connects to an alert system (11), data analysis and visualization system (12), and operator station (13). The invention enables continuous, cost-effective, and real-time monitoring of railway track conditions.
