Abstract: The present invention relates to a lick-safe veterinary wound care spray composition based on quorum sensing inhibition for preventing and treating infections in companion animals. The composition comprises a synergistic blend of natural bioactive compounds including cinnamaldehyde, curcumin, ajoene, apigenin, herbal extracts, and biofilm-disrupting agents formulated in a non- toxic aqueous base. The invention disrupts bacterial communication pathways, particularly the LuxR system, thereby inhibiting virulence and biofilm formation without killing beneficial bacteria. The formulation is non-irritating, ethanol-free, and safe upon ingestion, with an added bittering agent to deter licking. The invention provides an effective alternative to antibiotic-based wound treatments and addresses the growing concern of antimicrobial resistance in veterinary care.
