MUMBAI, India, July 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621024315 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Technology Indore on February 28, 2026, for A Quinoxaline Based Compound For High Resolution Forensic Fingerprint Technology.

Abstract: The present invention provides a Quinoxaline based compound of Formula (I). Formula (I) wherein R and R’ is same which is selected from OMeCbz and tCbz. The Quinoxaline based compounds QtCbz and QOMeCbz of the present invention are having a donor-acceptor (D-A) molecular system that offers tunable optical properties, enabling the rational design of materials with surface- specific color contrast. The invention also provides process of preparation of Quinoxaline based compounds of Formula (I). The Quinoxaline based compounds of the present invention have application as fingerprint powder dusting reagent for improved and reliable fingerprint visualization.
